Paddy Power announces board appointments | Paul Farrell joins IBM Global Services

Paddy Power plc has announced a number of appointments to its board. John
O'Reilly has been appointed chief executive in succession to Stewart Kenny.
O'Reilly joined Paddy Power in 1988 and has held the position of finance director
and most recently chief operations officer. Kenny has been appointed chairman of
Paddy Power, succeeding John Corcoran, who retires as chairman but maintains his
involvement on the board as a non-executive director. Ian Armitage, a
non-executive director since 2000, will become deputy chairman.

Paul Farrell, formerly of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, has been appointed a
principal with IBM Global Services with responsibility for services to the
public sector. Greg Allen also joins IBM Global Services as executive consultant
for the financial services sector. Allen previously worked as head of product
delivery at Bank of Ireland Mortgages/ICS.

CardBASE Technologies, a provider of multi-application smart card
management solutions, has announced a number of appointments. Brian Kearney joins
the board of CardBASE as a non-executive director. Vincent Nolan, formerly of
Bank of Ireland Private Banking, has been appointed chief executive officer,
while Mike Connolly, previously of Marrakech and J.D. Edwards, will take
responsibility as senior vice president of sales.


FINEOS Corporation, a specialist in banking and insurance software, has
made several senior appointments. Derek Finnerty has joined as global sales and
marketing director from Nortel Networks. He will have responsibility for defining
and delivering FINEOS' new business development strategy. Joe Flynn, formerly of
Horizon Technologies, has been appointed director of strategic alliances, with
responsibility for developing the company's partner channel strategy. In the UK,
Ian Duke, previously of Intelligent Environments, has been appointed sales
director with responsibility for developing new business in the banking sector.


Independent Media Distribution (IMD) plc, the distributor of broadcast
audio to the British and Irish commercial radio stations, has appointed David
McMurtrie to the newly created post of chief executive officer. McMurtrie was
most recently managing director of Vivendi Universal subsidiary ad 2-one. David
Haynes, founder of IMD, remains as chairman.


Dell has appointed Dr Walid Moneimne as vice president of the company's
Enterprise Systems Group and Services (ESG) business unit for Europe, the Middle
East and Africa (EMEA). Dr Moneimne is the former leader of Compaq's European
Enterprise Business Solutions Group. His duties at Dell will include
responsibility for server and storage product marketing and product management;
pricing and demand/supply forecasting; pre-sales technical support; and
alliances with key partners such as Microsoft, Intel, EMC, and SAP.

Occam Networks has announced the appointment of former board member Nick
Whelan to the position of vice president of international sales. Whelan will be
responsible for expanding the company's sales efforts into Europe, Asia-Pacific
and Latin America. Whelan joins Occam from Fujant, where he served as the
company's president and chief executive officer.

CellPoint, a global provider of mobile location software technology and
platforms, has appointed Carl Johan Tornell, Donald Lilly and Henrik Andersson to
its board of directors. Lynn Duplessis, Peter Henricsson and Jan Rynning have
resigned from the board. Tornell, the president of CellPoint, has been involved
with the company for the past year. Lilly is currently a member of the Nomination
Committee and Advisory Board of CellPoint, while Andersson is the founder and
former president of Stockholm Bors Information (SBI), the second Swedish Stock
Exchange.
