I'm talking mobile again, but this time it's a question of how/if the public are going to be able to access the new services being planned by the mobile manufacturers and the networks.

Epan.com has launched its long-dated share betting markets | British video game
maker Rage issues shares to stave off insolvency

A custom-built enterprise centre for technology companies has been opened at
Knockaconny, outside Monaghan town. Companies are moving in to the
state-of-the-art M:TEK Building, which has computer floors and access to
fibre-optic cables. M:TEK, along with sister building A:TEK in Armagh, is part of
the Armagh Monaghan Digital Corridor, a North/South Strategy to provide
sustainable IT employment in Armagh and Monaghan.

Epan.com, Ireland's first on-line real-time financial bookmakers, has
launched its long-dated share betting markets. There are a total of 650 new
long-dated markets, and clients will be able to speculate on the performance of
shares up to three months in the future. The long dated markets are updated in
real time and the expiry months are March, June, September and December.

Irish security distribution company Espion has announced the availability
of CMDS -- centrally managed desktop security -- in Ireland. CMDS offers secure
remote access, protection against internal threats, a tool for measuring
productivity, intrusion detection monitoring and virus control. Espion has
acquired the sole distribution rights in Ireland for CMDS from US security expert
Securitae.

British video-games manufacturer Rage Software said it plans to raise up
to STG5.6 million (USD8.2 million) by selling new shares, in an effort to stave
off insolvency. The Liverpool-based firm said that if the share offering does not
succeed, Bank of Scotland may withdraw a STG6.2 million credit line and the
company might be forced to call in administrators.

Vivendi Universal may face early demands to repay as much as USD5 billion
in debt unless it sells assets, investors said. Moody's Investors Service cut its
rating on Vivendi's long-term debt to one notch above junk earlier this month
amid concern that the media company may fail to trim its USD30 billion of debt.
One more downgrade would allow investors in some of Vivendi's bonds to demand
repayment. Vivendi may be forced to sell assets such as shares in water utility
Vivendi Environnement.

Owners of the TiVo digital video recorder were surprised by a new
sponsorship feature that automatically records programmes, ads and other
promotional material. TiVo users found that BBC drama Dossa and Joe was
automatically recorded and cannot be deleted from their machines for about a
week. This is the first time the box has been used by a broadcaster to record a
show regardless of the viewer's wishes. Hundreds of posts about the recording
have appeared on the TiVo Community bulletin board, an independent discussion
forum.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has filed a copyright
lawsuit against file-swapping service Audiogalaxy. The suit charges that
Audiogalaxy's attempts to filter access to copyrighted songs have been
ineffective. Audiogalaxy started to implement measures to filter access to some
copyrighted works in mid-2001 after Napster was ordered to do so by a federal
judge. The RIAA has copyright suits pending against Napster, StreamCast Networks
and its Morpheus software, Kazaa, Grokster, MP3Board and Madster.
