E-services infrastructure company Mobileaware has announced that Intel Capital, Island Capital and international venture capital company Cross Atlantic Capital Partners have invested a total of USD5 million in the company in return for a 25pc stake.
The remaining shares in the company are held by the management team and employees. Island Capital is an investment management company which sources, executes and manages Denis O'Brien's private equity investments.
Mobileaware's Everix suite of products provides an Internet mobility platform that enables organisations and ASPs to re-engineer their Internet systems for the next generation of e-services.
The company was founded four months ago by Brian Collins, Brian Kinane and Eamonn Howe.
At the announcement chief technical officer Brian Kinane said: "The Everix solution will allow the user to control the services emerging in the wireless Internet world and will ensure that these e-services are availed of by users according to their needs and lifestyle. We will soon operate in a seamless environment where the information we require will be available on any device, in anyplace, at anytime."
Mobileaware is headquartered in the National Digital Park at Citywest where it employs thirty people and recently opened office in Atlanta, USA.
