Trintech, the Irish payment security company, announced on Tuesday that it has acquired VeriFone's ePS product line, which provides payment switching, prepaid and Internet functionality and an installed base of more than 35 customers. The company said the deal was worth USD3.3 million and included the ePS product line, associated assets, including the source code to releases of all related products and technologies, as well as all existing ePS customers.
Additionally Trintech reiterated its guidance for the third quarter that ended on 31 October 2001. The company said pro forma operating expenses would be in the USD13.5 million to USD14.5 million range representing a further sequential decrease of up to nine percent on Q2. Furthermore, pro forma net loss will be in the range of USD3 million to USD4.5 million. Revenues should come in somewhere between USD17 million and USD17.5 million, the company said.
