Fosterbrook specialises in workflow, knowledge management and technology services. The DocMan program was introduced by DocMan AG of Germany during 2000.
EmailFlow automates common business activities such as order processing, sales follow-up, and support and purchasing requests, according to Fosterbrook.
The software reduces staff training and system overhead, and can be used on all exchanges/SMTP servers and with all e-mail clients, said the company.
EmailFlow allows office functions to be carried out on the Web, rather than being done manually, according to Sean Kelly Conroy, Fosterbrook's director of product marketing.
"EmailFlow tracks everything and routes it automatically to the relevant departments," said Conroy. "It also sends a reminder whenever there are time limits involved. Effectively, it polices the system."
At present, EmailFlow is used primarily throughout mainland Europe and in the Middle East, according to Conroy. However, there is also one corporate user in Ireland and one in the UK, he said.
"The benefits for companies are that there is no need for proprietary software or training and the software involves dealing with normal e-mail," said Conroy. "EmailFlow is also of benefit to companies looking for ISO-9002 accreditation."
The software is aimed at medium to large companies, and can be used within individual company departments or workgroups as well as within a company as a whole, said Conroy. "EmailFlow puts structure on the volume of e-mail coming into a company," he added.
Fosterbrook expects the new software to account for about 30 percent of its revenues within the next two years, according to Conroy. However, he would not divulge expected revenues.
