ElectricNews.Net announces two new appointments | NTT DoCoMo shakes up its board of directors with nine new appointments

ElectricNews.Net announced two new appointments starting with the promotion of Matthew Clark to the position of deputy editor. Previously Matthew was a staff journalist with the company, and prior to joining ENN he was a freelance writer in Ireland and in Baltimore, Maryland. The company also named Sylvia Leatham as its new Assistant Office Administrator with responsibility for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Leatham has worked as a journalist at Intrade, a production editor at Rondomondo and chief sub-editor at Online.ie.

Dublin-based wireless consultancy and software company MobileAware has appointed Jorg Kampers as sales director for Central Europe.

Version 1 Software has hired a new managing director. Kevin Jones joined the Irish business and IT consultancy, moving to the company from Airtel ATN where he was the chief executive.

Sage Ireland has named Laura Kelly as marketing manager with responsibility for managing marketing operations and communications in the direct sales division. Before she joined Sage, Kelly was marketing manager for the product marketing group in Baltimore Technologies.

Irishjobs.ie has appointed Kevin McDermott as sales director. McDermott joins the company from High Skills Pool, having previously worked with TG4 and The Sunday Tribune.

Xerox Ireland has made Christophe Labesse vice-president of office strategy Europe. The company also announced that Rod Rodericks, formerly vice-president and general manager of Xerox's office printing business, has been appointed vice-president and general manager for its newly formed office business, Xerox Office.

Design software maker Autodesk announced on Thursday that its chief financial officer is leaving the company to join California-based Salesforce.com. Steve Cakebread had been with Autodesk for five years and he moves into a similar job with Salesforce.com. Martha McDonald, vice president of corporate finance, would assume Cakebread's duties until a replacement is hired.

Japanese company NTT DoCoMo made a number of changes to its board of directors with Chairman Kouji Ohboshi resigning from the board. Other leaving board members include Hideki Nomura, Yoshinori Uda, Nobuharu Ono, Itsuki Tomioka, Eisuke Sugiyama, Kenichi Aoki, Yoshihiro Yoshioka and Shigehiko Suzuki.

The new candidates to the company's board include Masayuki Yamamura, Toshiharu Nishigaichi, Takashi Sakamoto, Shuro Hoshizawa, Minoru Hyuga, Eiji Hagiwara, Yoshiaki Noda, Hideki Niimi and Masayuki Yamamura. The charges to the board are set to take place in late June.

The company also announced a number of changes to its list of senior executives, but Keiji Tachikaw will remain the president and chief executive officer of the Japanese mobile communications firm.
